History of geology

The history of geology is the study of how the Earth was formed, what it's made of, and how it changes. Geologists study rocks, fossils, and other clues about our planet. Through these studies, geologists can learn about the past and future of our planet. In the past, people thought that earth was unchanging, but we now know that it is constantly changing and evolving. Geologists study the history of our planet by looking at how rocks formed, how they moved and changed over time, and the layers of sediment that make up the Earth right now. They also use ancient fossils to figure out what living things were like millions of years ago. All of these clues have helped us piece together the history of our planet.
