Hoi polloi

Okay kiddo, "hoi polloi" is a fancy way of saying "the common people". It means a big group of regular people who don't have a lot of money or power. Sometimes rich and powerful people might use the word "hoi polloi" to talk about everyone else who is not as rich or powerful as they are. But remember, everyone is important no matter how much money they have!
