Doxa

Okay, imagine you go to a party and there are a lot of different people there. Some of these people might have different opinions or beliefs about things, like whether pizza or hamburgers are the best food, or whether dogs or cats make better pets. These opinions and beliefs are called "doxa."

Basically, "doxa" is just a fancy word for what people generally believe or think about a certain subject, based on their experiences or what they've been taught. It's like the common understanding or consensus that most people have about something.

For example, most people might have the doxa that it's important to be kind to others, or that it's better to tell the truth than to lie. This doesn't mean everyone thinks the same way, but there's usually a general social agreement about these types of things.

So when you hear someone use the word "doxa," they're just talking about the common beliefs or opinions that people have about a certain topic.
