Public opinion
Public opinion is what most people think about something. It is important because it can shape what decisions are made in countries and by companies. For example, if most people think something is a bad idea, then a government or company might decide not to do it. To find out what public opinion is, people usually take polls or surveys to ask people their thoughts.
