Holocaust reparations

Hey kiddo, do you know what the Holocaust was? It was a very sad time in history when many people were hurt and killed because of their religion or background.

Now, some of those people who were hurt or lost their families during the Holocaust are still alive today. And even though it happened a long time ago, they are still affected by what happened to them and their loved ones.

Reparations are like making up for something that was wrong. So, some countries and companies that were involved in the Holocaust have been giving money or other things to the people who were hurt or their families. This is to try and help make things right and show that they are sorry for what happened.

It's kind of like when you accidentally break someone's toy or do something that makes them feel bad. You might say sorry and give them something to make up for it. It doesn't fix everything, but it shows that you care and want to make things better.
