Holodomor

Holodomor was a horrible event that happened in the 1930s in Ukraine. It was caused by a cruel leader who wanted Ukrainians to give up their land and their food to him. So he ordered his soldiers to take away all the food that the people had grown in the fields and not give it back. Without food, many Ukrainians did not have enough to eat, and many people died of starvation. It was a very sad and tragic event.
