Mass killings under communist regimes

Under communist regimes, a mass killing is when a large group of people are killed. This usually happens during times of war or when the ruling government is trying to keep control of the population. The most famous example of this is the Soviet Union under Joseph Stalin, who killed millions of people in order to stay in power. Other communist regimes, like China and North Korea, have also been responsible for mass killings in order to keep order.
