ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Home energy rating

Home energy rating is like looking at how well your home uses energy. It measures how much energy it takes to make your home comfortable (like with heating and air conditioning) and how much energy is lost from things like insulation, windows, and doors. It also looks at how much energy is used for lights and appliances. After the measurements are taken, your home gets a rating that tells you how much energy it uses compared to other homes. This rating helps you know what changes you can make to make your home more energy efficient!
