ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Homeomorphism

Homeomorphism is like a shape-shifter. It is a way to describe two things that are both the same in their important parts but are not necessarily the same in terms of size or shape. Think about a rubber band. It can stretch, twist, or turn and even take on different shapes but it is still the same rubber band. In the same way, two things can be homeomorphic if they have all the same major features and parts, even though they look different.
