Horizon problem

The horizon problem is a problem in cosmology (the study of the universe) that has to do with temperature. Scientists have discovered that the temperature of the universe is pretty much the same all over—even in places that are very far away from each other. That means that they are connected in some way, but scientists don't know how. The horizon problem is a question about why these two parts of the universe can be connected without having ever interacted before.
