A horse-drawn vehicle is a way for people to get around using a horse to pull them. It's like a special kind of car that doesn't need gas or electricity to move. Instead, a big strong horse pulls it along.
The vehicle usually has four wheels, a seat for the people to sit on, and sometimes a cover on top to keep them dry if it rains. The horse is attached to the front of the vehicle with a special harness that is made just for horses.
To make it work, the driver has to tell the horse what to do using reins – special ropes connected to the harness that the driver holds onto. They might also use a whip, which is like a long stick with a piece of leather at the end, to gently encourage the horse to keep going.
Horse-drawn vehicles were very popular a long time ago before cars were invented. People used them to travel around towns and cities, or to bring things like food and supplies to different places. Some people still like to use them today for special occasions, like weddings or parades. But mostly, we use cars now to get around instead.
