Horvitz–Thompson estimator

The Horvitz-Thompson Estimator is a way to estimate the mean of a certain population. It works by randomly selecting a group of people from that population and then calculating the mean (average) of those people. It is like taking a smaller group of people and then inferring what the rest of the population is like.
