Hose clamp

Okay kiddo, so a hose clamp is kind of like a special rubber band that holds onto a hose really tight. You know how some hoses can wiggle and move around when you try to attach them to things like a faucet or a machine? That's where a hose clamp comes in!

It's made out of metal and looks like a ring that goes around the hose, with a little screw on it. When you tighten the screw, it squeezes the ring tighter and tighter, which makes the rubber in the hose stretch and hold onto whatever it's attached to, like a faucet or a machine.

And that's it, little one! A hose clamp is just a special way to keep hoses from wiggling around and leaking. It's a really helpful tool for fixing things around the house or in the car.
