ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hubert Schardin

Hubert Schardin was a scientist who studied things that are too small to see with just our eyes. He used special tools called microscopes to look at things like cells and atoms.

Schardin was especially interested in how things move and change over time. He wanted to understand how fast things like explosions and waves could happen. To do this, he invented a special camera called a schlieren camera that could take pictures of things moving really quickly.

But he didn't stop there! Schardin also wanted to learn about things that are really far away from us, like stars and galaxies. So he built a big telescope to study these things.

Overall, Hubert Schardin was a very curious scientist who wanted to learn as much as possible about the world around us, from the tiniest things to the biggest things in the universe.
