Human genetic engineering

Human genetic engineering is a way for scientists to change the genes inside a person's cells. Genes are part of our DNA and tell our bodies how to make different things like our eyes, hair, skin, and even some aspects of our personality. Human genetic engineering can be used to change or even remove genes in a person's cells. It can even be used to add new genes. Scientists use genetic engineering to help people with genetic disorders like sickle cell anemia or cystic fibrosis, or to make new treatments for diseases. Genetic engineering can also be used to make changes that some people might not agree with, like giving someone certain characteristics or changing the way their body looks.
