ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hydraulic circuit

Okay, so imagine you have a long tube. Now, if you push a little bit of water into one end of the tube, the water will go through the whole tube and come out the other end. This is what we call a "hydraulic" system.

Now, imagine you have a lot of different tubes, all connected in different ways to each other. This is what we call a "hydraulic circuit". When you push water into one of the tubes, it can travel through all the other tubes and do different things along the way.

For example, you might have a hydraulic circuit that moves a big robot arm. When you push water into one part of the circuit, it makes the arm move up or down or left or right. This is because the water is pushing on different parts of the system in different ways.

Hydraulic circuits are really useful because they can help us do things that are too big or heavy for us to move by ourselves. By using the power of water, we can make machines and tools do amazing things!
