Automatic transmission

An automatic transmission is like a person who can drive a car for you. In a car with an automatic transmission, instead of having to press the gas pedal and shift gears yourself, the car does all of that work for you. Instead of having to press the clutch down every time you shift, the car is able to choose the right gear for you and make the shifts happen without your help. It's like having a personal driver who is always choosing the right gear for you automatically!
