Hydrology

Hydrology is the study of water. It is the way we look at how water moves around our planet. Water can be found in the air, on land and in the sea. We are interested in how water moves around, and how it affects the environment. Hydrologists study things like rivers, lakes, reservoirs, aquifers and other sources of water. They look at things like the amount of water, how it moves, and what it does. They also use this information to help us manage our water resources, make sure we have enough water for our needs, and reduce the risks of flooding.
