Limnology

Limnology is the study of lakes and other freshwater bodies, like ponds and streams. Imagine a big bathtub full of water, that's like a lake. A limnologist is like a scientist detective who wants to learn all about that lake.

Limnologists study all the different things that make a lake special, like the plants and animals that live in it, and the water itself. Think about how you take a bath, you fill the tub with water and then add things like soap and bubbles.
