ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hypercube

Hey there kiddo, so have you ever played with a Rubik's cube? A hypercube is kinda like that, but instead of having just 6 sides, it has a lot more sides that all connect together.

You know how a square has 4 sides and a cube has 6 sides? Well, a hypercube can have lots of different amounts of sides depending on how many dimensions it has.

Now, you might be thinking "What is a dimension?". Think of it like this: you can move forwards, backwards, left, right, up and down in the 3 dimensions we live in. But a hypercube can have more dimensions than just 3.

It's kinda like playing with a 3D puzzle, but instead of just being able to turn it around and see all the different sides, you can move through it and see how all the different sides are connected.

So, a hypercube is just a shape with lots of sides that are all connected in different dimensions. It's pretty cool and can be a bit tricky to wrap your head around, but it's fun to imagine!
