Hypertrophy

When we exercise, our muscles get stronger and bigger. This is called hypertrophy, which is a fancy word for "muscle growth". It's like building a tower with blocks - every time you add more blocks, the tower gets taller and stronger.

When we exercise, we create tiny tears in our muscles. Our body then repairs these tears by building new muscle fibers, which make our muscles bigger and stronger. This process happens when we challenge our muscles with heavy weights or resistance training.

Think of it like a game where you have to lift heavy things to make your muscles grow. The more you play the game, the stronger you become and the bigger your muscles get. So, if you want your muscles to grow, you have to do exercises that challenge them and make them work hard.
