Hypomania is when your brain gets really excited and happy all of a sudden. It's kind of like when you get really happy on your birthday or when you have a really good day at the park.
But even though you feel really good, sometimes you might do things that aren't very safe or appropriate. For example, you might run around too much or spend all of your money on toys.
When hypomania happens to grown-ups, it might make them talk very fast, have a lot of energy, and do things they wouldn't normally do. They might feel like they don't need sleep or food, and sometimes they might start lots of new projects that they can't finish.
While hypomania can feel really good at first, it's important to be careful and recognize when it's happening. Sometimes people need help from a doctor or therapist to stay safe during hypomania.
