ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Ignoramus et ignorabimus

Ignoramus et ignorabimus is a Latin phrase that means "we do not know and we will not know". It is often used to point out that there are some things in life that we do not (and may never) understand. For example, some scientific mysteries or philosophical questions may never be solved - so ignoramus et ignorabimus is a way to say "we don't understand this yet, and we might never understand it".
