Illusion of control

Illusion of control is when you think you have more control over a situation then you really have. It's like when you roll a dice and you think you can make it land on a certain number. Even though you shake it and throw it, the number it lands on is totally random, and it's out of your control - even though it might feel like you can make it land on the number you want!
