Impact insulation class

Impact insulation class is a way to measure how well a floor can block sounds that come from something hitting or dropping on it. Imagine you are playing with toys in your room and your neighbor downstairs can hear every little thing you do, even when you drop a small toy on the floor. Impact insulation class gives a number to show how good your floor is at keeping those sounds from going through to your neighbor's ceiling.
