ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Improvised fighting vehicle

Okay, so you know how when you play with toys, you can use different things around you to build a cool vehicle? Like using blocks or Legos to build a car or a truck?

Well, improvising a fighting vehicle is kind of like that, but instead of toys, grown-ups use things they find in their environment to make a vehicle they can use to fight in.

So, imagine some soldiers are in a place where there aren't any big weapons or vehicles around. They might use a regular car or truck and add things to it to make it stronger and more protected, like extra metal plates or sandbags. They might also put on some weapons, like a machine gun or a missile launcher.

The soldiers might use what they have to make their improvised fighting vehicle even better, like using some wire to create a ladder so someone can climb up and operate the weapons. They might also add some camouflage to hide the vehicle from the enemy.

Once they have their improvised fighting vehicle, the soldiers can use it to help them in a battle. It might not be as strong or fast as a regular military vehicle, but it can still do the job if it's built well and used carefully.
