Indian country

Indian Country is a term used to describe the land where Native American tribes (also known as Indigenous people) traditionally lived in the United States. The United States government has set aside these lands to be used by Native American tribes and Indigenous people, and it is considered to be separate from other parts of the United States that are not Indian Country. Native American tribes often live and have their own governments on these lands, making them a separate nation within the United States. Indian Country is considered to be its own cultural, economic and political area.
