Indian epic poetry

Indian epic poetry is a type of storytelling that people in India have been doing for thousands of years. It's like telling a really long and interesting story that has lots of adventures and characters in it.

In India, there are two main epic poems called the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. These epic poems have been passed down from generation to generation and are considered very important in Indian culture.

The Ramayana tells the story of a prince named Rama who is trying to rescue his wife Sita from a demon king named Ravana. Along the way, Rama has lots of adventures and meets many interesting characters like Hanuman, who is a monkey god.

The Mahabharata is an even longer epic poem that tells the story of a big war between two families. It has lots of different characters and stories within it, and it's even been called the longest poem in the world.

People in India still tell these stories today through plays, songs, and even TV shows. These epic poems are an important part of Indian culture and are loved by many people around the world.
