Indian voting machines

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen your parents vote during an election? They go to a polling booth, show their ID card and then press a button next to the symbol of the candidate they want to vote for. This is where Indian voting machines come into play!

Indian voting machines are electronic machines that are used during elections to record votes. These machines are like big computers with buttons on them. They are used in place of paper ballots which were used in the past.

When you go to vote, the election officer will give you a slip with the name of the candidate and their symbol. You will then go to the voting booth with this slip and the officer will tell you which button to press next to the symbol of your chosen candidate. You will then press the button and your vote is recorded on the machine.

The Indian voting machines are very special because they are designed to keep the voting process very secret. Once you have pressed the button, nobody can see whom you voted for. Your vote is also stored safely in the machine and can only be accessed by the right people.

So, these machines make voting very simple, quick and safe. They are also very reliable and have been used very successfully in India since 1982.

Hope that helps explain Indian voting machines!
