ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Indicative conditional

An indicative conditional is like telling someone what could happen if something else happens first.

For example, if you tell your friend, "If it rains, then we will stay inside," you are using an indicative conditional. You are saying that if it starts to rain, then you and your friend will stay inside.

Another example could be, "If you eat all your vegetables, then you can have ice cream for dessert." This is also an indicative conditional because you are telling someone that if they do one thing (eat their vegetables), then another thing will happen (get ice cream for dessert).

Overall, the indicative conditional is a way to talk about what could happen in different situations and how certain actions can lead to certain outcomes.
