Indonesian names

Okay kiddo, let's talk about Indonesian names!

In Indonesia, people usually have at least three names. The first name is called the given name, and it's the name that their parents chose for them. The second name is called the middle name, and it's usually the name of their father. The last name is called the family name, and it's the name that all members of the family share.

For example, let's say you have an Indonesian friend named Rima Wati. "Rima" is her given name, "Wati" is her family name, and her middle name is probably her father's name (like "Abdul" or "Budi").

It's also common for Indonesians to have nicknames, which are shorter or easier-to-pronounce versions of their given names. So Rima might also go by "Ri" or "Mimi."

Sometimes, Indonesian names can also reflect their religion or culture. For example, if someone is Muslim, they might have a name like "Ahmad" or "Fatima," which are both common Muslim names. Or if they come from the island of Bali, they might have names that are unique to Bali culture, like "Komang" or "Kadek."

Overall, Indonesian names are just like any other names - they help us identify and refer to the people we know!
