Induced activity is when something becomes "excited" and produces energy because of other things nearby.
Let's say you have a toy car that is just sitting there. It's not doing anything, just being a normal toy car. But if you put it near a magnet, it starts to move by itself! This is because the magnet makes the toy car "excited" and it starts moving on its own.
Another example is when you rub your hands together. Your hands are normal and not doing anything special. But when you rub them together, they start to produce heat! This is because the rubbing made your hands "excited" and they started producing energy in the form of heat.
Induced activity is like when one thing gets a spark from something else, and starts doing something special. It's pretty cool!
