Information appliance

An information appliance is like a regular appliance, but instead of doing something physical like washing your clothes or cooking your food, it does something with information. For example, computers, phones, and tablets are all information appliances because they take information that you put in and then do something with it. So when you use a computer to type an essay, the computer takes the words you type and makes them into sentences. That's an example of an information appliance in action.
