Euthanasia, sometimes called "putting a pet to sleep," is when you make an animal (like a pet or an insect) stop living. In the case of insect euthanasia, it means ending an insect's life in a humane way. This could mean covering them with a damp cloth or sending them in a bag or container with a few drops of an anesthetic like ether or clove oil. Then, after a few minutes the insect will be peacefully asleep and won't wake up again.
