ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Instructional simulation

Okay kiddo, have you ever played a game on your tablet or computer? Instructional simulation is kinda like that! It’s a game that helps you learn new things.

Let's say we want to learn how to take care of a garden. Instead of just reading about it in a book, we can play a game where we get to be a caretaker of a garden.

The game shows us how to water the plants, remove weeds, and how much sunlight they need! We get to practice these skills in the game and get better at taking care of gardens in real life too.

Sometimes we can't always do things in real life, so we use instructional simulation to learn tricky things like flying an airplane or even performing surgery! It’s like practicing something before we actually do it for real.

So instructional simulation is a fun way to learn new things and practice skills in a safe way, just like playing a game on your tablet or computer!
