Instrumental convergence

Instrumental convergence is when two or more things start to change in a similar way. For example, if two different types of music start to sound more and more alike, it's an example of instrumental convergence. This convergence often happens when two different styles of music become popular at the same time and when people combine different elements of the music they like. It can also happen when two different musical instruments, like guitars and drums, start to sound more similar.
