Intelligent designer

An "intelligent designer" is someone who believes that the universe and living things were designed and created by a special being. This being is usually referred to as God. People who believe this believe that God has a special plan and purpose for the universe, and that everything in it was made according to his plan. They also believe that all of the complex things in the universe, like animals and plants, could not have happened by chance, and that they must have been created by God.
