ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Intercultural learning

Intercultural learning means learning about different cultures and understanding how they are similar or different from our own.

Imagine you have a friend who comes from a different country than you. They might eat different foods, speak a different language, and celebrate different holidays than you do. Intercultural learning means taking the time to learn about their culture and why they do things differently.

Learning about different cultures helps us to understand and respect people who are different from us. We learn that everyone's culture is important and valuable, and that we can learn from each other.

Intercultural learning can happen in many different ways, like reading books about other cultures, learning a new language, or traveling to a different country. It helps us to be more open-minded and accepting of people who are different from us.
