ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Interpolation space

Interpolation space is like a magic trick that helps you guess something that's in the middle of something else, even if you don't know exactly what it is.

For example, let's say you have 2 points on a map - A and B - and you want to know what's in between them. To do this, you can imagine a line connecting the two points. This line is called a "space." Now, if you want to guess what's in the middle of this line, you can use interpolation space!

Interpolation space helps you make an educated guess about what's in the middle by looking at what's on each end of the space. You can think of it like taking an average of the two points. So, if point A is at 0 and point B is at 10, you can use interpolation space to guess that the middle point would be around 5.

This trick is incredibly useful in all sorts of situations, like when you're trying to predict what the temperature will be at a certain location or how fast a car will be going at a certain time. And it's all thanks to interpolation space!
