Intervals in maths are things like numbers (or other things, like letters) that are split up into sections. For example, the numbers 1-10 are an interval because they are all together in a group. We use these intervals to measure or talk about different things. For example, if you were measuring how tall something was, you could say it is between 1-10 feet tall. This means that it is bigger than 1 foot but not bigger than 10 feet.
