Islamic marriage contract

An Islamic marriage contract is like a paper that two people sign when they want to get married in the Islamic way.

First, the two people who want to get married talk to each other and make sure they really want to get married. Then, they tell their families and friends about their decision.

Next, they meet with an Imam or a religious official who will help them write the marriage contract. The contract is a list of promises that the man and woman agree to. Some of these promises might include things like being faithful to each other, taking care of each other, and respecting each other.

Once the contract is written, the couple signs it in front of witnesses. These witnesses are people who can testify that the couple really did sign the contract.

After the contract is signed, the couple is considered married in the eyes of Islam. They can live together, share resources, and start a family.
