ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Isolation amplifier

An isolation amplifier is like a special helper that can keep two things separate but still working together. It's kind of like having a wall between two rooms but you can still talk to someone on the other side.

For example, let's say you have a measuring device that measures electricity, but you don't want the electricity to hurt you or the device you're using to measure it. The isolation amplifier comes in and separates the electricity from you and the device, so that you both are safe.

It does this by using special parts that can detect the electricity without touching it directly. These parts are like eyes that can see through walls, without actually touching them. Then, the isolation amplifier sends signals through wires that are safe for us and the measuring device to handle.

So, even though the electricity is still doing its thing, we can measure it accurately, and we can be safe because of the isolation amplifier.
