ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Isometric immersion

Isometric immersion is when you take a flat piece of paper and draw a picture on it that looks like it’s popping out of the page. It tricks your eyes into thinking the picture is three-dimensional!

How does it work? Well, the artist has to use special techniques like shading and perspective to make the picture look like it has depth. They might draw lines that look like they’re going farther away into the distance or make some parts of the picture darker to make them look like they’re in shadow.

When you look at the picture from a certain angle, it looks like you could reach out and touch the objects in it! Isn't that cool?
