Jane Addams

Jane Addams was a very important lady who lived a long time ago in America. She was born in 1860 and grew up in a big and rich family. When she was very young, she noticed that some people around her were very poor and didn't have enough money to take care of themselves.

As she grew up, Jane Addams became more and more interested in helping these people. She wanted to help them find jobs, learn new skills, and live better lives. So, she decided to open a house for them called Hull House.

Hull House was a big building where people could come and learn new things. They could take classes on things like sewing, cooking, and getting jobs. They could also get medical help and advice on how to take care of their families.

Jane Addams worked really hard to make Hull House a safe and happy place for everyone who came there. She even visited the people in the neighborhood to find out what else they needed and how she could help them.

Jane Addams also wanted to make sure that people had the right to vote and to have a say in the decisions that were made about their lives. She fought for women's rights and spoke out against injustice and discrimination.

Jane Addams did a lot of good things in her life and helped many people. She is still remembered today as an important person who cared about others and worked hard to make the world a better place.
