ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Jet Train

A jet train is like a train that is powered by a jet engine, which makes it go really fast.

Think of a regular toy train that you may have seen, like Thomas the Tank Engine. He chugs along on tracks and makes a chugging sound.

But a jet train works differently. Inside the train, there is a very powerful engine that works like a rocket, blasting out hot air and creating a lot of power. This power is used to turn the wheels and make the train move quickly.

It's like when you blow up a balloon and then let go of it. The air rushing out of the balloon makes it go flying through the air. The jet train works a bit like that - the hot air coming out of the engine makes it go really fast.

Because of this power, a jet train can go much faster than a regular train. It can travel at speeds of up to 300 miles per hour! That's like driving very, very fast on a highway.

So, a jet train is a train that goes really fast thanks to a powerful engine that works like a rocket.
