Jibe

Okay kiddo, so a "jibe" is when you're on a boat and you turn the back of the boat so that the wind blows on the other side. This helps the boat move in a different direction. It's kind of like turning a car so that you can go a different way. It's important to do this carefully, though, because sometimes the wind can make the sail move pretty quickly and it can be dangerous if you're not paying attention. So always listen to the grown-ups on the boat and follow their instructions!
