Jonah 1
So there was this guy named Jonah, and God told him to go to a place called Nineveh to tell the people there to stop being bad. But Jonah didn't want to go to Nineveh because he was scared, so he went on a boat going in the opposite direction.
While he was on the boat, a big storm came and the other men on the boat were scared it was going to sink. They figured out that Jonah was running away from God, so they threw him overboard to try to make the storm stop.
When Jonah was in the water, a big fish came and swallowed him up! Jonah was inside the fish for three days and three nights. While he was in there, he prayed to God and said he was sorry for not doing what God asked him to do.
Finally, the fish spit Jonah out onto the beach near Nineveh. So Jonah went and told the people there what God wanted them to hear, and they actually listened and changed their ways. In the end, Jonah learned that it's important to listen to God and do what he says, even if it's scary.
