Journalistic scandal

Okay kiddo, do you know what a journalist is? They are the people who report the news and tell us what's happening in the world. But sometimes these journalists make big mistakes or do things that are not honest. And when that happens, it's called a journalistic scandal.

Let's say a reporter writes a news story about something that isn't true. For example, they might say that a famous person said something bad when that person actually didn't say it. Or they might get information from someone who lies to them and then report it as if it's true.

When these things happen, people get upset because they rely on journalists to tell them the truth. And if they can't trust what the journalists are saying, then they might not want to read or watch the news anymore. That's why it's important for journalists to be honest and accurate in their reporting.
