Judicial independence

Judicial independence means that our judges - people who decide what the law means - make their decisions without worrying about other people’s opinions. They stay fair and unbiased even when powerful people don’t agree or like what they decide. Judges get to make their own decisions without other people telling them what to do so that everyone gets treated fairly in the court system.
