ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Jurisprudence

Jurisprudence is the study of laws, which we need to know so that people can follow and obey them. Laws are made by the government to keep people and their property safe, to make sure everyone is treated fairly, and to keep everyone from breaking the law and hurting others. Jurisprudence is about understanding how the laws work, why the laws are made, and how people can obey them. It also helps us figure out what to do if someone breaks the law so that we can keep everyone safe.
